Community CPR Classes

Baptist Regional Medical Center offers CPR classes to teach members of the community this life saving skill.

BLS for healthcare providers is required upon employment and is renewed every two years thereafter.  The Respiratory Care Department has several qualified instructors to teach proper techniques for performing CPR.

Instructions to Participants
You will practice the techniques on mannequins and have opportunities to ask questions and get individualized instruction.  The final test for the course is a combination of demonstrating CPR skills and taking a written test.

Additional Information
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation can restore circulation of oxygen-rich blood to the brain.  Without oxygen, permanent brain damage or death can occur in less than 8 minutes.
